Dear family and friends,

Many of you have already heard this through the various prayer trees. Pastor Ralph entered heaven on Monday October 31 - Reformation Day. He had been confined to bed for the last several months and he so much wanted to get out of bed and walk. Now I know that he is running and jumping and dancing in heaven. With somewhat of a struggle he finished a letter for the 15th anniversary of All Saints that takes place next weekend. That was his last project and Sunday evening he began to slip and by Monday evening he was on his way running through the gates of heaven to meet his Savior. The memorial service will be at All Saints Lutheran Church in Blairsville on Thursday, November 10 (Martin Luther's birthday). We had just picked a day that was convenient for the family. What a way for a Lutheran pastor to say good-by to his earthly home.

Thank you for all of your prayers during the last many many months. They were a constant presence in our lives.

+ 5 - 1 | § ¶I will miss him

After a long bout with various types of cancer, my Uncle Ralph passed away today. I already miss him. I hope that he is out there somewhere looking down on us saying "it's ok..." - All I can say is that Uncle Ralph was a fighter, and he battled to the end... My sympathies go out to Aunt Jean who has to carry on from here. Sometimes the ones left to carry on have the hardest job. I love you Uncle Ralph and Aunt Jean.
