Well, it is Saturday night and it feels lonely around here. My daughter Laura took a flight home to Seattle this morning to stay there for good. Even though she lived in San Diego, and we had not seen each other very much over the past year, seeing her drive off to the airport this morning brought a tear to my eye. Somehow, knowing she was only 3 hours away by train, seemed a lot closer that being 2 hours away by plane. Maybe it is the fact that plane fares are higher, and that makes her more un-reachable.

Anyway, she is settling in tonight and starts work at her new job on Tuesday. Looks like I now have 3 reasons to fly up there more often, Jen, Laura and my friend Jeannie. Maybe I should look for a place up there to buy so that I will have something waiting for me when I finally decide to leave my current job. Hmmm... Me thinks this needs more thought...
