+ 8 - 5 | § Revenge of The Birds

Well, my bird friends are back. Looks like they are just about done building their nest. This time it is on the other side of the awning over my side door. Looks like I will be taking the bike in and out of the front door for the next few months. It all depends on how long it takes to lay/hatch/kick 'em out of the nest. Pics are here. I will add more as I can sneak more pictures in.

Context here Steve... Last year, a couple of birds thought it would be a good idea to build a nest under the awning over my side door to my apartment. Of course, having me go in and out of that door freaked them out, and they would fly away whenever I got close to the door. I was afraid they would abandon their eggs once they were laid, so I quit using that door, and was very careful when I looked out the glass window in the door to check their progress. Eventually, the eggs hatched, and a few weeks or a month later, they were all gone, mama, popa, and the two babies just were not there one day. I eventually tore down the nest a few weeks later.

I figured it was a fluke, but they are back. If not that pair, then a new pair. Needless to say, my days of reading on the side porch are over for the next few months... bummer...
