+ 1 - 3 | § I hope I did not scare momma bird off

I got home tonight and opened the back door a bit to cool things off. A few minutes later, I noticed a tiny baby bird in the nest outside the door. It poked it's little head up and it's mouth was moving like it wanted to be fed. After 20 minutes or so I decided to shut the door. I did not see momma at all, and still have not seen her. I hope I have not scared her off.

I put some bird seed out on the fence in the hopes that momma will find it and therefore not have to work so hard to feed baby bird. There might be more than one, but I have not seen any onter babies from my vantage point.

I think I will just leave the back door shut the rest of the weekend in the hopes that momma will come back before the baby bird starves. Everyone keep their fingers crossed that momma was just out looking for food and will be back soon. If this baby bird dies, I am going to feel real bad...
